One of my biggest problems while I dealt with the pains of bipolar disorder was “worrying about basically EVERYTHING”! It was so bad that at one point, I took pain relievers and muscle relaxers for the huge knot that was forming in my neck and upper back. But at one point in my life, this HAD to stop. Once again, I got on my knees and prayed to God for an answer to this problem.

I was led to the scripture in Matthew Chapter 6:25-34. One verse states, “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.”

I am a member of the praise team at my local church, and we are featuring a song at the moment which has a verse about the “lilies” and it reminds me of how far that I have come with dealing with the subject of worry. It takes a great deal of faith to let go of the wheel of “life” and allow God to take over and take care of your troubles. But with it comes peace and freedom. I am at peace and that huge knot is finally gone….Consider the lilies
