Yesterday was awful!! I realized that it is not good to suppress my emotions in an effort to ‘save face’. I have to find a healthy way to express my emotion of anger. And, yes, it is okay to express anger, just in a way that doesn’t harm others. I feel that expression of all of the emotions is healthy. We can’t just walk around “happy” all of the time!! We must express the full spectrum of emotions to have good mental health. I find that exercise, cleaning, and journaling are positive ways to express or vent the emotion of anger.

It is mental health awareness month, and I am certainly excited about sharing ways to thrive and succeed with a diagnosis of mental illness!! You can overcome the pressures of insomnia, low self-esteem, and depression!! Stress does not have to dominate your life!!! Peace CAN be achieved!!!
