Some of you may be surprised by the simple answer to this question, but the short response is actually, quite true, “diet and exercise”! Between January of 2021 and now, I have maintained a weight loss of approximately, 47 pounds. The three main ways that I succeeded at losing weight were reducing my sugar intake (especially what I drink) , tracking my calories daily on an app, and also tracking my activity on my exercise tracker which is linked to an app on my phone. I was also a member of a support group which helped to encourage and teach me ways to make a permanent lifestyle change in my exercise and eating habits. The journey had its ups and downs but I am thankful that it seems that the lifestyle change that was made has become routine and getting the proper amount of exercise and eating right is now the “norm”. Trust me, I’m not suggesting at all, that losing weight is easy, quite the opposite, but I am thankful to the team that worked with us for their dedication to showing us the pathway to a healthier lifestyle and always reminding us that the focus is not on weight loss but creating a better, healthier YOU!
