You should never get to a point where you think you can no longer grow and learn. I was stopped dead in my tracks this weekend when I was faced with falling back into negative thinking habits. I actually had to dust off one of my books and get a refresher on ways to change my mindset! Never think that you have arrived!! Live long enough and you will quickly learn that this mental health journey, and any journey for that matter, is continuous and full of tests and trials. But don’t fret, each test, each trial, makes you better. I have a sign in my bedroom that says, “Faith, it makes things possible, not easy”. So, I am reminded that things will workout for my good, but it won’t always be an easy process. Sometimes things get pretty difficult but it WILL turn out for the best in the end. Break your goals into increments, and work on it, one day at a time. When you think of steps towards a long term goal, think in terms of small victories at a time, and eventually you’ll get there.
