I know it may sound strange but yes! I am learning how to yield a little bit of power to others. I am a natural leader, I have always gravitated to the spotlight and to leadership positions. I am a leader at work, I am in charge of my business and I am in a leadership role even in things that I do for the church but I am learning how to listen to that small voice telling me to step back and let others tell me what to do for a change – and it is teaching me a lot about others and about myself, in the process. I have gained much respect my co-workers in ALL positions and learned that everyone plays a role in getting the work accomplished. We are a team!! If all of the parts of the are united, the team will get the work done quicker and more efficiently and with a positive attitude and atmosphere. Learning to submit will even work well at home, when I learn to listen more to my husband and anticipate his needs instead of complaining about what I think HE is not doing!! For me, it just works out a little better. Trust me, I love being in charge! But I have learned that sometimes I have to step back and let someone else, take the lead when necessary, and it feels good!
