I never thought I would see the day when the importance of mental health would become “main stream”!! For years, I have been reminded to think of my mental health on a daily basis because it was vital to living a “normal” life. It was important to take my meds everyday, to watch my stress level, to exercise, and to maintain a healthy weight. I HAD to think of my mental health in order to survive. But others did not consider the subject as important until now. I look at television and it’s in the commercials, it’s mentioned on the news, there are apps to help you, and so many organizations there to offer support!!! And I LOVE it!!!! I must admit, mental health hasn’t always mattered to me, but once I was hit with a crisis, things changed and I never looked back. I’m glad that others are recognizing that mental health is vital to overall health. When you “think” better, life gets better.
