I started a campaign years ago, “No matter what, love yourself “ ! And I find myself years later, finding that people are still needing to learn how to do that very thing. It sounds easy, but for some, genuinely loving yourself can be overwhelming, and almost impossible. Trust me, it took me years to accept that person in the mirror. I’m still finding myself feeling guilty about being rejected by others because of what I say or do. Or even who I am as a person. But, once I get a chance to think it over, I realize that I don’t have to prove anything to anyone. Some people won’t ever understand me or accept me, and that’s okay. What I have to do is be honest with myself and not rely on others for validation.
Love yourself!
